Canadian Federation for Citizenship
was established during Canada's
150th Anniversary of Confederation.
It aims to engage citizens of Canada
to develop homegrown leadership
through active citizenship.
Founded by Jenny Gulamani-Abdulla, JD and Ghalib Abdulla, CPA during Canada's Sesquicentennial, CFC works to ensure that all residents of Canada are embraced, included and respected to participate in Canada’s progress.
Established in 2017, our Board of Directors
are appointed for three year terms and
serve without remuneration. They come from diverse backgrounds, experiences and perspectives.

The inaugural launch of the Canadian Federation For Citizenship took place during Citizenship Week and almost two weeks before the 2019 Federal Election. The official program included the homegrown leadership symposium and a reaffirmation ceremony.
